Liturgical Calendar

Catholics are obligated to attend Holy Mass on Sundays and the following holy days of obligation:

  • Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 – Solemnity of All Saints
  • Thursday, December 8th, 2022 – Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • Sunday, December 25th, 2022 – Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord


Nota Bene for 2022 Litugical Calendar:

  • Since January, 2022, the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, falls on a Saturday, and August 15, 2022, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blesse Virgin Mother, falls on a Monday, they are not Holy Days of Obligation. 
  • Anticipatory Mass said befor 4:00 p.m. will not fulfill one’s Holy Day/Sunday Obligation.
  • Observance of the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is transferred to the Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 29, 2022.
  • “The entire celebration of the Easter Vigil takes place at night. It should not begin before nightfall; it should end before daybreak on Sunday” (Roman Missal). On April 16, 2022 according to United States Naval Observatory Sun and Moon Data, civil twilight ends at 8:07 p.m. (MDT). The Easter Vigil should not begin until 8:15 p.m.
